PGE Bull Run Slalom and Downriver race

We are hoping to see you for the Bull Run races March 31 and April 1.

There is lots of water on the Bull Run, about 2,000 cfs right now, its rockin' There are good eddies behind large boulders and strong currents, and waves. Its just about perfect. This is the likely the last year for you to sample some of the best whitewater in the Pacific NW. We are hoping to get the course set up on Friday March 30th and could use any help you can contribute.

And of course, there are those valuable NW Cup Points, remember its mostly how many races you come to that wins the cups.

For those Canadians who might be coming, the Bollermans are offering shelter again. But it would very much help if they knew when you might arrive and how many of you are coming? Email me and I will get this information to them. Their phone number is 503-695-2499 There are also motels in Sandy, OR and Gresham OR, not far away.

Directions: Take Hwy I-84 east from Portland through Troutdale over the Sandy River and exit #18. Turn left and go up the Sandy River, past the Tippy Canoe Bar, into Springdale (3-4 miles). As you are leaving Springdale keep to the right onto Hurlburt Rd (there is a sign there for the Bull Run). Stay on Hurlburt Rd for about 3 miles then at a flashing light make a right turn (at a Y) onto Gorden Creek Rd. Take Gordon Creek Rd 5 or 6 miles before crossing the Bull Run river on a metal bridge, then turn immediately right into the Bull Run power plant parking lot.
